Your health and safety is our first priority. As a result of Governor DeWine’s announcement about the health crisis Beck Center for the Arts’ campus is now closed through 4/5/20. You are the most important part of Beck Center for the Arts.

If you have supported Beck Center through ticket sales to Meteor Shower in the Studio Theater running 4/3/20 to 5/3/20 we appreciate that you wanted to laugh to a romantic comedy! We are sad this production is cancelled, but, we may have an exciting announcement for you soon. We would be out of this world appreciative if you would kindly consider donating your theater tickets to Beck Center. We will also be reaching out to you shortly about the option of offering you a theater ticket voucher for any future professional theater production, based on availability, or a refund.

Written by Steve Martin, (yes, that Steve Martin.), this wild and crazy play pulls back the curtain on two married couples and the extreme transformation they can experience when the sky is the limit. You’ll have a burning desire to find out what happens next for these four lovers.

Creative Team

  • Written by Steve Martin

  • Directed by Scott Spence

Presented through special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.

I’ve had the best time directing and producing Martin’s previous exploits as playwright, including the amazing ‘Picasso at the Lapine Agile’. It’s the most pleasurable of adventures climbing inside his sharp yet demented mind.
— Scott Spence
…a finger or two of any hard liquor of your choice, a jigger of Christopher Durang-ian satire, a tincture of marital farce, and a shot of Looney Tunes, shaken until extra-frothy, served over ice
— Vulture
