Development Intern

Supervisor: Director of Development

Work Schedule/Hours: 10-15 Hours Per Week

Internship Duration: Internships should last at least 3 months and can be accommodated in the Summer, Fall, and Spring.

Description:  Designed for creative, dedicated and innovative college undergraduate and graduate students seeking greater understanding and deeper knowledge of the management and operations of a non-profit arts center that houses both educational programming and a professional theater. The Development Intern will work directly with Beck Center staff on projects related to;

• Scanning documents and letters into DP

• Database clean up

• Preparing cards to be signed by board members to donors

• Making New Donor packets

• Filing

• Preparing Toolkit packets

Required Qualifications:

• Detail oriented. Excellent research skills.

• Strong communication skills (oral and written)

• Proficient in MS Office

• Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently

• Creative problem-solving

• Well-organized, detail-oriented, self-starter

Preferred Qualifications:

• Major in Marketing, Management, Small Business, Creative Arts (Music, Theater, Visual Arts, Dance).

• Interest in arts administration/performing arts/arts education.

• Familiarity with social media and online platforms.

Additional Information/Benefits:
