Creative Arts Therapies at the Beck Center

Founded in 1994, Beck Center’s Creative Arts Therapies (CAT) program was the first community-based program of its kind in Ohio. Each week, our credentialed therapists work with over 1,500 individuals on-site and across 30+ partner organizations, including schools, hospitals, social service agencies, and retirement communities.

Our mission is to enhance quality of life through the arts—helping individuals of all ages and abilities express themselves, build skills, and connect through creativity. We proudly offer Music Therapy, Art Therapy, and adapted programming in music, theater, and visual arts.

For more information, contact Tracy Ammon, MT-BC, Associate Director of Creative Arts Therapies at tammon@beckcenter.org.

Art for All Ages and Abilities

What Are Creative Arts Therapies?

Creative Arts Therapies use art, music, drama, and movement as tools for communication, expression, and healing. Guided by certified professionals, participants explore creativity in ways that promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth.

Music Therapy

Uses music interventions within a therapeutic relationship to achieve individualized goals.

Art Therapy

Combines creative expression with psychological theory to support mental health and well-being.

Each participant receives a personalized plan based on their abilities, goals, and interests.
