Figure Drawing Model

Hourly, Independent Contractor

Pay Rate: $20/hour   $45/class (6:45 pm-9:00 pm)

Beck Center’s Visual Arts Education program seeks models for Life Drawing classes for students to study the human form through drawing. Classes are Thursdays 7PM-9PM. Models typically work 2-4 dates per semester. Models do not need to be available for every class meeting. We schedule based on each model’s availability and class needs. Beck Center welcomes a diverse range of body types, genders, ages (18+), races, and abilities to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Hold artistic, engaging and creative poses for long pose (20-40minute) and gesture drawings (1-5minute).

• Be comfortable posing nude.

• Arrive for class by 645pm for setup, and stay through 9pm.

• Timely response to communications for scheduling purposes.

• Cooperation and adaptability with faculty instructions in the classroom.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in modeling preferred, but not required.

• Ability to hold a pose for an extended period of time, at least 20min.

• Hiring contingent upon passing a background check. This is required for all individuals working at Beck Center.
