This musical is the 7th longest-running Broadway show, ever. Its success spawned many successful productions worldwide. It began a lengthy run in the West End in 1976. It was revived on Broadway in 2006, and in the West End in 2013, and in 2007 won a Tony Award Best Revival of a Musical.
