October 2025 Donor Digest

A Note From Ryan William Downey—Director of Individual Giving

I am excited to introduce myself as Beck Center for the Arts' new Director of Individual giving. As someone who grew up in Northeast Ohio, spent may years in New York making theater, and recently returned home, I am honored to now be part of this remarkable community. Not long ago, I also taught acting classes for kids here at Beck Center and witnessed firsthand how the arts inspire confidence, creativity, and collaboration. It is wonderful to return in this new role and share with you the incredible work happening at Beck center. We are rolling out some new donor benefits and have an exciting and engaging calendar of events happening throughout the year. I look forward to meeting you in person soon.

This fall, Beck Center is alive with creativity, and I want to personally invite you to join us for two special gatherings on Friday, October 3, 2025!

Cultural Heritage Exhibition Reception
Celebrate the opening of Cultural Heritage Expedition 2025, featuring works by Tracey Lind and Danté Rodriguez. The exhibition, generously supported by The Harry K. and Emma R. Fox Charitable Foundation, is on view now through October 31.

On October 3, please join us in the Hoffman-Stach Gallery from 6:00 PM–7:30 PM for light refreshments and an artist talk with Tracey Lind at 6:45 PM. We will gather again on October 24 for an artist talk with Danté Rodriguez.

Opening Night Reception: Andy Warhol in Iran
Immediately following the opening night performance, join us in the Daniels Lounge for snacks and refreshments as we launch our 2025–2026 Professional Theater Season. Please note: the reception is free and open to the public, but tickets are required to attend the performance.

These gatherings highlight what makes Beck Center so special: professional theater, outstanding visual arts, and a welcoming community where creativity belongs to everyone.

I truly hope you will join us for one or both of these celebrations. If you see me, please stop and say hello. I would be delighted to meet you. And if you would ever like to talk more about ways to get involved at Beck Center, I would love to hear from you. You can reach me directly at 216-424-7603 or rdowney@beckcenter.org.

Thank you for being such an important part of the Beck Center community.

With gratitude,

Ryan William Downey
Director of Individual Giving
